This one really brings a new meaning to my business ethos: “When my clients do well, I do well.” Working on Laurence’s strategy is exactly what made me realise that this wasn’t just a silly dream, but something that could genuinely help founders to succeed in their dreams too.
The Client
Barks the Sparks is a local electrician in Carmarthenshire (and my wonderful partner). I have got to tell you, I’ve learned A LOT since I started marketing Laurence’s business.
The Deliverables
We started out knowing that Laurence would need an online presence, so I created Instagram, Facebook and Google business profiles to start getting his name into local groups and posting. The only strategy we had at first was to make it clear what he does and share as widely in the local community as possible. He didn’t have any reviews or pictures of work at first as he was newly qualified, so I created straightforward adverts to quickly communicate what he offers.

As I said, I’ve learned a lot since I started working with Barks the Sparks and a lot has changed with the brand too. No more Canva graphics that take hours to put together and more importantly, we have a full brand strategy. I know Barks the Sparks needs a website, but websites take time, so I’ve started with quick, simple tweaks while the website is in the making.
A dialed in target customer persona and brand voice guidelines to match (The Foundations).
